Tablet Sound Adjustments and Graphic Equalizer

Tablet Sound Adjustments and Graphic Equalizer

For those who want to fine tune the audio on their tablets, Samsung has built in a lot of different adjustments that can be performed in the Settings.  These settings may look a little different from version to version of Android, but in general they are available to be configured.

NOTE: Settings below are screen shots from the 2019 Samsung Tab A 10.1" running Android 9.0.  Settings for Android 7.0 are shown further down in this article.

To get to your sound adjustments you will open up the tablet settings and then navigate to Sound > Advanced sound settings > Sound quality and effects. From here you can turn on different settings such as Dolby Atmos, Adaptive sound or the ability to adjust the Equalizer.  Simply tap on the Equalizer option to choose from a list of pre-set sound profiles or choose Custom to adjust the 9 band graphic equalizer to your taste.

To get to your sound adjustments you will open up the tablet settings and then navigate to Sound > Sound quality and effects.  This is considered an Advanced section of the sound settings area.  From here you can adjust different settings around Bass and Treble in a basic view and also adjust more of an advanced graphic equalizer.  You can also scroll through some different built in adjustments for the types of music you typically listen to.
